How can we find peace when daily news is information filled with things that upset us, trouble us, or put us into a state of fear? Those with a compassionate and sensitive heart feel the pain and suffering that others experience.

How can we find peace when there is so much sorrow in the world? We can decide whether to focus on what is negative or on what is positive. One solution is to fill ourselves with the peace already within us. It is free from problems of the outer world, like a sea of tranquillity in the stillness within. We can dip into those healing waters anytime we want, through meditation.

Meditation allows us time each day to turn our attention away from problems of the outer world, to swim for a while in a sea of peace. We then experience moments of bliss, joy and happiness. Our first priority should be spending time in meditation. In meditation we find a place of peaceful retreat within. We realise that all problems about which we worry are but small bubbles like those a child blows.

During meditation, we are elevated to a place far removed from pain and sorrow. Post meditation, we are pulsating with loving energy and peace.

We can then radiate it to others.

We spread that peace by our very presence, bringing calm and relief to the lives of those around us. If each person were to meditate and radiate peace to others, it would not be long before peace would spread and bring relief from pain to people worldwide.
